Our Awards

In September 2015, Franche’s Lower School team won ‘School Early Years Team of the Year’ award at the annual Nursery World Awards, the ‘Oscars’ of the early years sector. Our amazing nursery manager, Jane Bulmer, was also runner up/highly commended for the title of Nursery Manager of the Year.

Our setting was also highly commended for Pre School of the Year. We are very proud of our achievement.

Franche Community Primary School was graded “Good” following an Ofsted inspection in 2015.

We support the Healthy School aims of helping pupils to be healthy, safe, cared for, have a voice and have influence.

This prestigious and highly sought after Gold mark celebrates the high quality learning experiences we provide at Franche across the arts, the exceptional opportunities we provide, and the positive outcomes we achieve.

The Leading Parent Partnership Award is a national award that demonstrates we work closely with our parents, engaging with them through the PTA, stay and play sessions and information events. We also encourage parents to volunteer in school.

The Primary Science Quality Mark was established by the Association for Science Education. It aims to raise the profile of science in primary schools; provide schools with a framework and professional support for developing science leadership, teaching and learning; to celebrate excellence in primary science.

The Sainsbury’s School Games Mark is owned and created by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and is implemented and developed by the Youth Sport Trust and Sport England. The Mark rewards school for their commitment to and the development of competition, school sport and physical education. We have achieved the highest award, Gold for the last 3 years in a row.

Franche is a Silver Eco-School. The Eco-Schools programme is an international award that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed green principles into the heart of school life.
