Franche has a thriving Parent-Teacher Association, which organises major fundraising events throughout the year for the school and community. Last year the efforts of the PTA paid for more than 50 iPads for the school. Key events on the PTA calendar include a Summer Fair, Franche Bonfire & Fireworks, Christmas events, charity coffee mornings and welcome events.

The 2017-18 committee are already hard at work planning and organising lots of fab events to raise money for our lucky children. For the date of the next meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us 01562 751788.

Last November’s annual Franche Bonfire & Fireworks was the biggest in the school’s history, with more than £12,000 raised for the school. The PTA and the school have agreed to donate £10,000 towards re-marking the playground for Lower School pupils to make it a more fun and safe environment for them. They will also subsidise the cost of an Upper School trip, covering the £1,500 costs of a coach.

The PTA also organises and runs amazing activities throughout the year, including a traditional Valentine’s Disco for all ages, and a brilliant array of Christmas activities, including profesional pantomime visit for the whole school and Festive Fair including Santa’s Grotto.

The PTA committee is always looking for new members. If you could spare a few hours a month you’d be very welcome! The current committee is Chair: Kevin Firth;
