Enrichment Activities

Every Friday afternoon, the whole school embarks on an Enrichment Challenge, with children of all ages selecting from a wide range of workshops. The aim is to develop children’s independent life skills, provide and enhance our pupils with great life experiences, and help them learn a new skill which may be difficult to teach within main curriculum time.   The choices offered cover sports, music, arts and other key learning areas. Each half term children select a new workshop with a key message to “Challenge Yourself”.

The afternoon culminates in a Celebration Assembly – an opportunity for the whole school to come together to celebrate the week’s achievements.

Every child has also been encouraged to come up with a “wonderful struggle” – a specific individual challenge to pursue over the school year. Staff and governors have also taken on the challenges!
